Short lived, muggy and warm summers, stunning fall foliage, and long snowy winters; the four seasons offer four unique flavors of the Lakes Region. So that you can be best prepared and pack accordingly, here is what you can expect, weather wise, broken down month by month.  Remember that the information presented here is a picture of an average year.  The past few years in particular have leaned nearer the extremes of the below values.

In August of 2008, and extreme thunderstorm hit the area, leading to one death and causing road washouts all over the area.  The Weirs Beach board took a severe hit where a large portion washed out completely, leaving traintracks hovering in the air and light poles twisted and broken.  It took time, but the newly rebuilt boardwalk is better than ever.
