This year on August 23th and 24th, 2003, mark your calendars and be sure to attend the 24th Annual Lakes Region Fine Arts and Crafts Festival. This festival is held outdoors among the quaint town streets and shops of Meredith, where over 100 talented artists and craftspeople from all around the country will gather and display their finest work. Now not only will their be an abundance of arts and crafts, but you will also enjoy continuous live music, entertainment, and plenty of food. What will you find at the festival? You can expect a little of everything:

Want To Participate?

If you'd like to apply to participate, you need to be good. Entrance to the festival is based upon the quality of your work as judged by four 35mm slides. You must submit the slides along with your application form and the appropriate fees by April 1st, 2003. There is a $15 application fee and a $200 entry fee. On April 15, you will be notified as to whether or not you have been accepted.  If you haven't, you will get you entry fee back.

Other Things You Should Know

  • You must be fully set up by 8am on 8/23/02.
  • You may only show your own work.
  • You must have your work for sale.
  • You may not sell craft kits or any mass produced items.
  • The Festival is open to the public on 8/23 and 8/24 from 9:00am-5:00pm
  • The Festival runs regardless of rain or shine.
  • Booth spaces are 10’ x 10’. 
  • You are responsible for providing your own self-supporting displays.
  • Displays cannot be over 7 feet high.
  • No stakes, nails or other supports may be driven into pavement or walls.
  • Exhibitors will have a reserved place to park.
  • Overnight security is provided for displays only.
