So...you want to get to the good views, you want to see the spectacular sights, and you want do it without exhausting yourself with hours and hours of hiking? If it's July and ninety degrees outside without a trace of wind, not wanting to hike is pretty understandable.  In fact, you couldn't pay us to do it. Now we know what you're thinking, make a horse do it!  The list of places which offer horseback riding is not quite as extensive as other lists that we have, but you do have a choice, and they are listed below.

Horseback Riding at Castle in the Clouds Route 171, 455 Old Mountain Road, Moultonborough, New Hampshire 03254 603.476.5900 ext. 211 Enjoy miles of wooded trails through the 5,500 acres of the Castle in the Clouds mountaintop estate.  A one hour tour is $50 and several ride times are avaialble.  Open 7 days a week, 9am-5pm. Mountain Side Trails 210 Ossipee Mtn Road, Center Ossipee, NH 03814 Mountain Side Trails provides horseback tours through the Ossipee Mountains of New Hampshire. Horses are available for beginners or expert riders. This is a great vacation for any age, and Pony rides are available for the younger kids. During the tour you will learn some of the history of the Ossipee Mountains through the trails. Feel free to call anytime for an appointment, or just drive in!
