TAX INFORMATION
While New Hampshire is advertised as a
"tax free" state, you of course know that New Hampshire has
the same bills to pay as any other state, and you also know that money
doesn't grow on trees. With that in mind...
-
There is no general
statewide sales tax.
-
There is a 9% tax on
any meals costing over $1.00. This usually does not include pre-cooked and
prepared meals and food items one could purchase at any major
grocery store.
-
There is a 9% tax on
lodging of stays less than ninety days, including condos.
Note that published hotel
rates almost never include the tax.
