SNOWMOBILING » TRAIL SIGNS
Below are the most common New Hampshire snowmobile trail
signs. Some of them you know, and some of them are a
little more mysterious. These are not the only signs
you'll come across, but they are the standards.

Identifies
a fixed object at the side of the trail. Used any time the
fixed object narrows the
normal width of the trail such as
bridge railings. The stripes slope down towards the trail.
Warns riders of an
approaching trail hazard.
Provides additional
guidance to the rider in a sharp turn.
Informs the rider that they are on a designated snowmobile
trail.
Indicated that the rider is approaching a series of
curves.
The rider must come to a complete stop before proceeding.
Announces direction change in areas where the rider may
lose the trail.
Trail conditions or other factors ahead require you to
slow down.
Asks you to remain on the trail. Ignoring this very
important sign has lead to some trails
running through
private property to be closed.
