Lake Winnipesaukee Weather Today

Updated: 10:14pm 4/24/14

Low pressure was working its way eastward through the outer atlantic Monday afternoon, but its effects were still being felt across all of new england. Precipitation was east of augusta and slipping away, but windy conditions extended all the way back to new york state. Breaks in the clouds were showing up in New Hampshire and a few spots in western Maine, and where those breaks occurred, temperatures jumped up into the 40s. Eastern Maine was held to the low 30s while most of us topped out in the middle and upper 30s. The next couple of days look much better as winds subside and clouds clear off with advancing high pressure. A weak front will cross the area late on Wednesday, but should barely be noticed, except that we cool off just a bit for Thursday. Low pressure driving northward from the midwest into the great lakes, will push another frontal system into new england Friday into Saturday, giving us all our next chance at precipitation. It may be cold enough at the outset to provide us with some mixed precipitation but the trend towards mostly rain will occur during Saturday. Brown
