Here are some photos taken in and around Weirs Beach during the middle of February during the rather warm and mild 2002 winter season.

Standing on the east shore of the Weirs Channel, looking off toward the north. Looking east, down at the frozen and snow covered beach. Another one taken from the east shore of the Channel looking at Endicott Rock park. Looking down the length of Lakeside ave, along the boardwalk. A closer shot of the bridge, looking south. Quiet and peaceful now, a few more months and the activity will pick up.

This is looking down the length of the Weirs Channel, northwards toward the bridge. A wider shot of the channel so that Endicott Rock is visible. A fault in the ice. When ice forms and then the water level drops, this is what you get.
